I'm belatedly posting a review of our 11/25 selection, purchase and installation experience of a combination of Hunter Douglas and Alta blinds for our new house. We are in a new Del Webb community and Michelle Moats was recommended by our Welcome Committee.  We scheduled a consultation with Michelle and another with the Costco contractor. We had no idea how to select blinds for an entire house and Michelle was by far the expert in helping explain the products, various options and the timing involved in having them made and installed. When both estimates came in, we knew we needed to determine our budget before proceeding. Advantage Blinds were our preferred option and Michelle was very willing to come back and work with us to figure out options that worked within our budget, what discounts were available and took considerable time measuring the windows. Honestly, she is one of the best sales women we have ever had the pleasure of working with. Bill arrived on a very icy winter day and installed all the blinds efficiently and professionally. All of the blinds fit and operated perfectly. We highly recommend Advantage Blinds and especially Michelle's expertise in leading customers through a somewhat nerve wrecking process. Michael was patient as I explored all the options sharing some pros and cons  of the various options. In the end, we went with the clean look of Norman blinds and Hunter Douglas honeycomb cellular for added warmth.  I also have two motorized, programmable ones for hard to reach places and they are a wonderful addition.  The arrived quickly and installation was effortless. The blinds are PERFECT! I have not one complaint. I have only praises. The photo is my dining room window and it’s smaller than my living room window. Look how well the blinds are holding up. They were installed in 2023, which was two years ago. Yes, I am quite late posting my review. I’m in the market for more blinds for two bedrooms and a bathroom. Variable Light Control

Let the light in with a gentle pull of a cord, a twist of a wand, or a press of a button. With our wood blinds, you can rotate the louvers precisely where you want to maximize the view to the outside or to provide maximum privacy and light blockage. A routeless louver option eliminates the route holes found in typical blinds, reducing light leakage.

Outstanding View-Through

Wood blinds are available in several louver sizes; 1 3/8”, 2”, and 2 ½”. The larger louver sizes allow for a greater view-through to the outside and opens up the feel of any room.

Sustainability

Our wood blinds use only specially selected hardwoods harvested from professionally managed forests. This provides a higher degree of sustainability than other products.

OPTIONS and BENEFITS

Motorized

With motorization, you can rotate your blinds with a press of a button. You can even operate the blinds with a tablet or smartphone, and some systems can be programmed according to the schedules you set, even when you are away.

Cordless

Move the blind to exactly where you want by simply pushing up or pulling down with your hand. Some cordless systems have a button which locks the blind in the exact location you set it. Cordless blinds are also an excellent option for homes with small children and pets.

Retractable

This option features a single retractable cord or wand which stays at a constant length regardless of the blind position. Without the long, dangling cords, a retractable control system offers enhanced child and pet safety.

Standard Corded

With a standard cordlock system, you can raise or lower the blind to where you want them, simply by pulling the lift cord. The louvers are easily rotated using a cord or wand tilt control. Safety tassels and wand controls provide enhanced child and pet safety, too.
